I'm born in Germany and grew up in Sweden from age 7 to 17.
Where do you live now?
In Santa Barbara.
To be the best that I can be as a mother, friend, sister, daughter and partner. To let my creative flame burn strong and stay inspired daily. To never loose my sense of adventure and live fully and unapologetically.
Being out in nature. Hiking, horseback riding, traveling and visiting places that I love and discovering new ones.
What inspires you?
Art, music, good friends, children, and animals. I'm happiest in the ocean and the natural world.
What does your tattoo mean?
My tattoo on my arm is AHIMSA which means non violence and compassion towards all living beings in Sanskrit.
Who are your favorite photographers to work with?
One of my favorite photographers is Peter Lindbergh. I also loved working with Herb Ritts, Bruce Weber, Kurt Markus and Phillip Dixon.
Annie Leibowitz is awesome too…….this is where I get into trouble, I can’t name just one. Nick Knight is amazing and Avedon was amazing too.
What were the most interesting locations that you travelled to for work?
Traveling through Thailand for shoots was for me the most exotic and incredible experience.
What do you love most about modeling?
I love collaborating with the team to create an image.You can feel it when something magical happens.
Rules to live by?
Do good, be kind, loving, have compassion, and when you know better, do better! Be gentle with the environment and with yourself and others.
"I have been very passionate about African wildlife these past few years. Elephants especially. I am the proud foster parent of 8 elephant babies at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. They are such an amazing organization and I’m in absolute awe of all the incredible work they do. My dream is to go and spend time there."
What is your favorite music and latest bands?
I listen to such a large variety of music. From world music to jazz and classical as well, it’s all about what mood I’m in. If I had to grab one album and listen to it for the rest of my life on a desert island I have to say Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. My favorite band is Radiohead, but I have to be in the mood for it.
Who is your favorite artist?
There are a lot of artists that I love but off the top of my head I I would say Mark Rothko. When I travel to New York or Paris I always go to museums when I have the time. I love photography as well.
What are some of your favorite books?
I have been an avid reader my whole life, right now I’m reading The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate―Discoveries from A Secret World
by Peter Wohlleben. It's absolutely fascinating!
What are your favorite places that you have travelled to and where do you want to go next?
I loved traveling to Africa, but it was a long time ago and that is where I would like to go next. India and Japan are also on my list.
What is your favorite hotel/resort to stay in?
My favorite hotel is The Bristol in Paris and The Lowell in New York when it comes to cities. The Amanpuri resorts are pretty amazing but that said I’m not really a resort kind of person, and would rather stay in a small bungalow or something cozy.

Please tell me about your son.
My son Jonah is 15 years old and an artist. He loves doing animé and is doing other things more and more too now, through the art program at school which is really cool. It’s very important to me to support him in his passions, to help him navigate when needed, and to help him grow into the person he is to become with an open heart.
Please tell me about your pets.
My dog Gatsby is a boxer and my 2 horses are Aleada and Brightly. Gatsby is quite a character and so funny, he loves children and is very sensitive and sweet. My horses are half sisters, I have had them since they were yearlings and they are both now 20 years old.

What would surprise people to know about you?
I think that I’m very resilient. I have been told that I’m funny with a good sense of humor. I’m like a cat, I always land on my feet! :):)
How do you unwind or de-stress?
Going for a walk in nature, baths, meditation. Listening to music and taking time to dream and be in solitude. I am definitely someone who needs to be alone to recharge.
Do you unplug from devices?
Yes, nights and whenever I can on weekends.
How do you take good care of yourself?
I take herbs to support my system and some vitamins when I need to. I get most of my nourishment by eating organic foods and mostly plant based. I ride and hike, but would like to do more strength training and yoga.
When do you feel your best?
When everything flows and there is harmony in my life.
Female hero and why?
Maya Angelou. I love her strength and wisdom, to me she is a power house. Daphne Sheldrick is another woman I absolutely think is a hero of mine with all the amazing work she has done for elephants since the 70’s.
Beauty routine/skincare regime?
Cleanse and moisturize, I keep it simple. Face masks once in awhile too.
What is your style credo?
I like it uncomplicated. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. Nothing too precious and it has to be comfortable.
Who is your style icon, and why?
I really like Jane Birkin’s style back when.
What were your first KC pieces?

What KC accessories do you like to wear during the day?
I wear the Thin Rounded Hoops and bangles pretty much all the time-day and night.
